Abstract
The realization of the tests in laboratory search to prove the effectiveness of the chemical and biological products to control the mites, using the methodologies to create the same, must be assisted and evaluated throughout the test process. However, to maintain these methodologies, it is necessary to keep the leaf wetting constant, which also helps in the containment of the mites. The present work had the objective of testing the new methodology to achieve future experiments with coffee plant pests, searching to optimize the time, to spend less with materials. This work was developed, using two methodologies tests, with 15 repetitions each, maintained in a room with the dimensions of 3,0m x 4,5m, at room temperature, for 15 days and evaluated the maintenance of the foliage discs of each one of the methodologies, as same as the value of the manufacturing of the same one. The new methodology works, but needs adequation, seeing that the same maintains in the damp surface and conducive to maintenance of the leafs, but some present some necrosis. Despite that, there is a cost to manufacture less, when we compare to a conventional methodology.
