Abstract
Nowadays, with the great demand for productivity, competitiveness, and quality in the energy market, large companies aim to satisfy their customers in the best possible way. In this sense, they seek to eliminate power supply failures and interruptions as much as possible. The purpose of this work is to analyze the feasibility of the method “remote live-line execution” in 138 kV distribution lines. For this, a real case study was carried out, more specifically the exchange of insulators string in an anchoring. The results obtained by applying this method were compared with the traditional methodology, which requires the power system to be disconnected. This comparison allowed an evaluation of the benefits offered by the live-line solution. Therefore, in the course of this work, the technical, operational, and safety aspects related to the execution of remote live lines work on 138 kV distribution lines were analyzed. A real case study was explored to support the results obtained and provide subsidies for the conclusion of the viability of this method.
