Abstract
Work safety is essential to protect workers and improve productivity, and when collective and administrative measures are not sufficient, the use of PPE is necessary. Distributing PPE across multiple distant facilities requires complex logistics, and the Just-in-Time (JIT) model can solve this problem. In this context, this work proposes to develop an application to manage the purchase and distribution of PPE, ensuring the continuous availability of these equipment and reducing stock levels. The application considers legal requirements, market solutions, and the JIT concept. Developed using Microsoft Power Apps, the application features interactive pages that modify information through formulas applied in the databases. In pursuit of collaboration and the implementation of a continuous improvement cycle, a communication and improvement management channel was created through Microsoft Teams, with guides for chat, interaction with the application users, developer announcements, and improvement tracking through Microsoft Planner. For real-time data analysis, dynamic charts were implemented in Microsoft Power BI. This allows tracking requests, purchase status, user performance, financial control, and item receipt; this integration ensures a clear view of the application’s performance and facilitates decision-making. Implementing an application using Microsoft Power Apps to request the purchase of PPE has proven to be a contemporary and efficient solution. This approach not only optimized company operations and ensured compliance with quality regulations but also improved work safety processes and operational efficiency. The project focused on the application of the Just in Time method for acquiring PPE, using a help desk application.
